Custom Carrier Board - Jetson Xavier NX (USB3.0 problem)

Hi,

I have designed a custom carrier board for Jetson Xavier NX. All peripherals are functioning perfectly, all power supplies are stable; however, I am facing an issue with the USB 3.0 protocol. I have used the Microchip USB5744/2G for the USB Hub. The problem is that only the 2.0 protocol is working, while the 3.0 protocol is not. I suspect the issue lies in the connection of the SSRX and SSTX signals between the USB Hub and the Jetson Xavier NX. I will attach the relevant parts of the schematic for this, and I need your assistance in resolving this issue. The documentation for the USB Hub does not specify whether its upstream pins are inputs or outputs, so I connected them as shown in the schematic.

Thank you in advance,
Zelimir

Hi, you should check with the HUB vendor for that first.

software change is required if your design does not match to original NV devkit board.

I contacted Microchip Support, and they don’t see any mistakes in the design, which is very strange. I’m wondering if there’s a software way to change the SSRX and SSTX differential pairs?

Hi,

Could you tell me what software changes are necessary? I still haven’t been able to figure out what the issue is.
