EVERY SINGLE project fails to compile with the latest DLSS Plugin for UE 5.5.
PackagingResults: Error: Unknown Error
The only two red lines in the output are:
LogDLSSNGX: [SDK]: [2025-07-22 19:46:06] [NGXLoadLibrary:287] error: failed to load NGXCore: 126 (F:\Epic Games\UE_5.5\Engine\Binaries\Win64_nvngx.dll)
LogDLSSNGX: [SDK]: [2025-07-22 19:46:06] [NGXLoadLibrary:287] error: failed to load NGXCore: 126 (F:\Epic Games\UE_5.5\Engine\Binaries\Win64\nvngx.dll)
Indeed those files do not exist but they also do not exist in the downloaded package. I tried redownloading the package multiple times, moving it from the engine to the project folder (which is only necessary for bad plugins anyway), deleting all data caches, the only thing that solves the issue is disabling the plugin.
Everything else in the output window reads as normal and is not in yellow or red color.
Can NVIDIA do something right apart from producing useless overpriced AI accelerator cards that will be obsolete in a few months anyway? The drivers are a constant downward spiral, the hardware gets more and more useless and now even their own proprietary tech is not working on their overpriced hardware?
If that is the kind of quality i can expect from NVIDIA products i will happily switch over to team red once i’m in need for a hardware upgrade.
