Does having `OFED-internal` installed mean the OFED installation was successful?

I installed doca-all package and when I do ofed_info I get the following:

ceti@ceti3:/etc/apt$ ofed_info -s
OFED-internal-24.10-1.1.4:

I am confused because the Infiniband course had an OFED installation like this and then the instructor proceeded to mount the Mellanox ISO and perform another installation. But I think just installing the doca package should have been enough to get the OFED. Also, the Perplexity chatbot did say it should be fine. But I am not sure whether to trust it.

Do I need to do anything else to install the OFED properly?

Hello,

OFED Internal means that only the necessary, base packages were installed.
It is fine and means that OFED is installed properly, but might not contain extra packages (which might or might not be required depending on your use case).
As long as you followed the directions specified here (Depending on your OS version and CPU arch) : NVIDIA DOCA Downloads | NVIDIA Developer

Then it should be fine.
