Drivers 550/555 build and install fine but yield error on kernel boot (Ubuntu 20.04.6, RTX 4090 mobile)

This occurs both from the runfiles and the ubuntu package (nvidia-drivers-5XX)

Kernel: 5.15.0-107-generic

Previous system configuration worked before running apt update, presumably that included a kernel update and an upgrade from an earlier versions of the driver - I then purged all drivers and attempted a reinstall using both of the above. With the drivers uninstalled the system boots fine.

Series 550 freezes laptop

When the first beta 550 came out I was testing the driver and the laptop sometimes froze randomly. I didn’t know what was causing it until I went back to the 545 drivers and it was fixed. I thought it would be a problem because they were beta but no. It also happens to me with the stable version. When this happens to me, the laptop freezes and the “caps lock” light keeps flashing. An updated driver was released since this post, but still seeing the error on it. Error log attached.

Resolved the issue by upgrading to Ubuntu 22.04 from 20.04 (kernel v5 → v6)
