ERROR: Nvidia driver is not loaded Ubuntu 20.04 HP Zbook Studio G8(RTX3080 Ti)

I’m not able to install driver on my laptop. Tried different versions(470, 510, 515)

On hp zbook, you’need to use kernel 5.15.

Tried 5.10, the same issue.

Unfortunately, there no easy way to use 5.15 on Ubuntu 20.04, so I’m not able to try it

The nvidia driver is actually working, it’s just not loading on boot and nvidiafb (not part of nvidia driver) is not blacklisted. I suspect you broke the nvidia driver install when desperately trying to make it work previously. Please uninstall the runfile driver by running it again with --uninstall option, remove all nvidia packages, then install the nvidia driver again using Software&Updates.
You can use the kernel-proposed ppa to fetch the 5.15 kernel
