Fedora 18 x86_64 - CUDA driver version is insufficient for CUDA runtime version

Hi,

i’ve installed the CUDA toolkit 5.5 on my Fedora 18 (64 bits) but i can’t get it to work:

./deviceQuery Starting…

CUDA Device Query (Runtime API) version (CUDART static linking)

cudaGetDeviceCount returned 35
-> CUDA driver version is insufficient for CUDA runtime version
Result = FAIL

The drivers that come with the toolkit fail to build on Fedora 18, so i installed the ones from rpmfusion (akmod-nvidia-319.60-1.fc18.x86_64).

This setup is on my laptop (Samsung RC530) and uses Optimus techonlogy, my card is: NVIDIA Corporation GF108 [GeForce GT 540M] (rev a1).

Anyone knows how to fix this problem?
