On RHEL9 Systems we currently experience issues with heavy flickering/graphical issues using RTX 4500 ADA in Combination with an integrated Intel Chip. We narrowed down the issue this far:
- It only happens on Systems with the RTX4500 ADA in Combination with an integrated Intel Chip. On Systems where only the RTX4500 is available no flickering appears

- The issue only persists while using the proprietary nvidia-drivers, the nouveau-driver is not affected
- The issue affects atleast following versions:
nvidia-driver-580.105.08-1.el9.x86_64
nvidia-driver-575.57.08-1.el9.x86_64 - The issue can be fixed temporarily fixed by setting following Environment Setting:
XWAYLAND_NO_GLAMOR=1However, this causes trouble with other graphical applications - The issue affects X-based applications like ICAClient in multiple Versions
- Disabling the Intel-Chip in BIOS or blacklisting the i915-Driver does not fix the behaviour
- The issue affects multiple systems
