I am using NVIDIA QUADRO P1000 GC for game development on Linux (OpenSUSE). Every thing was working fine when kernel was 4.4.70 and nvidia driver was 440.31. Due to kernel upgrade to 5.16.18 I could not compile nvidia driver 440.31 so I have to update nvidia driver to 525.105.17. After 525.105.17 upgrade FPS in some game features which used to be ~50 is going now around ~30. Does anyone aware of any FSP drop issue on latest nvidia drivers ? I have tried latest 550.67 nvidia driver too but drop is there. Any input around it would be helpful.
At least I wouldn’t know of any such performance drop, it seems quite drastic in your case.
Along with this issue, When I am trying same thing on Nvidia T1000 8GB. I am getting periodic fps drops(every ~50s) idle mode. Its very weird.
I have read Periodic FPS drop on Linux - #5 by roboriaan but nothing there which could help me.
