Extreme Frame Drops with latest Drivers in Unreal

Hi,

I get extreme frame drops with the latest drivers (Studio 552.22 ) in Unreal 5.3 and 5.4.
The frames drop within the default maps from 120 to 9 Frames.

Hi there @tobiasbertrand, I would recommend sending this kind of feedback through the GeForce Experience or the new NVIDIA App feedback mechanism.

First though I recommend a clean re-install of the driver and possibly UE, because I just tried to reproduce any frame drop issues on two different systems with UE 5.3 and cannot see any difference to the previous driver.

Thanks.

Hi,
Another user had similar issues on the NVIDIA Forums and it was proposed to him by a mod to post it here.

I installed the previous driver 551.86 and the issue is gone.

I just wanted to know if it might be a bug in the driver, because I’ve never had problems like this before.
Thanks for testing and your help anyway.

Hi again tobiasbertrand,

I hope I didn’t sound like I was blocking this off. It can never be ruled out that there might be a regression in the driver. And two against one already makes a bit of a case.

If you hear of more mentions like this that definitely let me know. I’ll also poke around in internal channels if there are known mentions elsewhere.

Can you share your system setup? Like GPU, CPU, RAM, exact windows version etc., which you find in Windows “System->About” and NVIDIA Control Panel System Info.

Thanks!
