gPTP supported ports

Could you please provide more details on your testing process and how you determined that the external grandmaster is not recognized when running the automotive-slave.cfg configuration file? Additionally, could you specify the grandmaster you’re using?

I’m using a TimeMachine as the external grandmaster

I think i’m starting to understand how this all works, the 2 switches in the system are acting as “clients” requiring an external master to then sync with.

Does the switch on mgbe2_0 then sync the system time automatically? Or do I still have to run phc2sys?

Also looking at the documentation the Ouster lidars can only go on EQOS_0 to receive sync from the external GM, correct?

When running the automotive-slave.cfg I do see small delays and the terminal outputting correctly, however the ouster in automotive profile does not “pick up” that the switch has a grandmaster sending packets on it.

We did purchase a Modu AVB Switch and I’ve found the ousters configured in the gPTP profile will automatically pick up that the switch is the grand master. We then are going to hook this into eqos_0.

Please refer to the ‘Orin Time Sync’ document page.

Could you please provide more details regarding this observation?
