Gst launch failing with ov5693 on jetson TX2 EVK

I am running gst launch to capture video on jetson tx2 EVK.

gst-launch-1.0 nvarguscamerasrc ! ‘video/x-raw(memory:NVMM), width=(int)1920, height=(int)1080, format=(string)NV12, framerate=(fraction)30/1’ ! nvvidconv flip-method=2 ! fakesink silent=false -v

error i am getting:

Any help will be appreciated.

hello anupam.kumar,

may I know which JetPack release you’re working with.
could you please also confirm ov5693 sensor driver was probe, and device nodes were generated successfully.
thanks

I am using ov2735 sensor instead of ov5693 on tx2 EVk.
yes video node i am getting and also i am able to capture frames using v4l2-utils and yavta utils but gst-launch command is failing on tx2 evk.

can you help on this.

I am using latest SDK 32.4.3 on Tx2.

hello anupam.kumar,

please correct the discussion thread title to avoid confusion,
there’s error while you initial camera stream, please also gather kernel messages, i.e. $ dmesg for more details.

Error generated. /dvs/git/dirty/git-master_linux/multimedia/nvgstreamer/gst-nvarguscamera/gstnvarguscamerasrc.cpp, execute:557 No cameras available

can you just confirm the gst-launch command i am using is fine or not i am missing something in command?

there’s documentation you may refer to, Approaches for Validating and Testing the V4L2 Driver.

i am following this guide. but still i am getting below error on tx2 EVK

nvbuf_utils: Could not get EGL display connection
nvbuf_utils: ERROR getting proc addr of eglCreateImageKHR
nvbuf_utils: ERROR getting proc addr of eglDestroyImageKHR

how to resolve this.

hello anupam.kumar,

had you tried below configure EGL display?
i.e. export DISPLAY=:0

after exporting export DISPLAY=:0 this, i am getting following error.

command run :
gst-launch-1.0 nvarguscamerasrc ! ‘video/x-raw(memory:NVMM), width=(int)1920, height=(int)1080, format=(string)NV12, framerate=(fraction)30/1’ ! nvoverlaysink -e

hello anupam.kumar,

you still got an error message that reports no cameras available, please examine your sensor driver and also device tree.
suggest you may validate sensor stream with v4l2 standard controls to check the camera functionality.
thanks

i checked with v4l2 commands, all are working fine.
so when i programmed the image of ov5693 using jetpack with latest release on Tx2 EVK,i am able to capture the video but when i am taking sdk 32.4.3 and compiling and programming to board to check ov5693,it is not working.

so ov5693 working fine with default jetpack image but same is failing when i compiled my own image and running on tx2 EVK,what could be the issue

any help will be appreciated.

There is no update from you for a period, assuming this is not an issue any more.
Hence we are closing this topic. If need further support, please open a new one.
Thanks

hello anupam.kumar,

may I know what’s the modification you’d done for your customize image?
thanks
