High density sensor design and integration for Jetson embedded autonomous robot

In our project, we designed uDAVE, our self-driving small-sized car, to be sensing the environment as precisely as possible, resulting in more robust, self-driving capabilities. To reach this goal, we designed a new base plate on general chasses for the car, allowing the sensors’ ideal positioning. Various sensors were integrated into DAVE1, and the data provided by them can be used by the Nvidia Embedded AI system for driving, including anomaly detection and robust decisions based on fusion-based sensor data processing regarding safety concepts.
