How can I get VDE without 'tegrastats'?

I am working on TK1 with Android system. So there is no ‘tegrastats’ which can be used in L4T to get device utilizations.
As far as I known, I can get GPU utilization by reading file ‘/sys/devices/platform/host1x/gk20a.0/load’, and get video encode engine utilization by reading file ‘/sys/devices/platform/host1x/msenc/load’.
How can I get the video decode engine utilization ?

Hi horson,

MSENC is the video hardware encoding engine; NVDEC is the video hardware decoding engine.
Since you can read the msenc, then you should be able to read the nvdec by the same method.

Thanks

Hi kayccc,
Thanks for your quick reply.
The problem is that there is no such a file ‘nvdec’.

Hi horson,
/d/clock/vde/rate is the path of VDE clock.

Hi DaneLLL,

I have tried the given path ‘/d/clock/vde/rate’. The value in the file is either 120000000 or 528000000. Is there any way to get the ‘utilization’ like ‘video engine load’ in GPU-Z in windows ?
Thanks !

Hi horson,
The frequency is varying with loading, please check the frequency periodically. It is also what tegrastats shows.

Hi DaneLLL,
Thanks !
