Hello,We want to design the baseplate according to orin nx. May I ask whether the usb of the burning port supports the mode switching of device/host? We want to design the use of this usb port flexibly, so that it can be used for burning, usb to network port, rndis network card, etc
Hi,
This is Xavier NX forum. Not Orin NX.
sorry,i changed.
Hi,
flashing a board and rndis network port are different things.
Flash is a pure hardware board event. If your board design is correct, then using the button can make the board enters recovery mode.
In brief, if the port can enter recovery mode, then even the port has wrong design in usb part, it can still be a flash port.
However, rndis and usb device mode needs not only the hardware is correct but also the device tree software in linux kernel to be correct.
Your question is not clear enough for what you really want to ask.
For example, what you are asking are all supported on Orin NX devkit.
But you are not designing another Orin NX devkit here.
I mean, you didn’t post any design out but just a ambiguous question. If your hardware design is wrong from beginning, then no matter what software configuration is set, it won’t work.
sorry, I am not very clear. We want to design this usb port for use in actual products, rather than development kit learning. That is, we want this usb port to be used for writing when it is needed, and to be used as an otg mode USB port when the system starts normally, which only needs usb2.0.
We want to know from the chip whether it supports us to design hardware in this way, and if so, is there a reference circuit? We have not found it from the public materials
Please refer to the design guide document.
thank you,but it didn’t turn out the way I wanted, any other references?
What info do you need here?
Please clarify why this is not the way you need.
The schematic of each devkit board is also listed in the download center which you could refer to.
