I am facing an OS flashing issue with a Jetson Orin NX 16GB (P3767-0000)

Respected NVIDIA Jetson Support Team,

I am facing an OS flashing issue with a Jetson Orin NX 16GB
(P3767-0000) on the Jetson Orin Nano carrier board (P3768-0000).

Host System: Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS
JetPack: 6.2.1 (via NVIDIA SDK Manager)
Target Storage: NVMe SSD

Issue:

Using SDK Manager (JetPack 6.2.1), the flashing process consistently
gets stuck at ~50% with no progress or error message.

I also tried manual flashing using Jetson Linux R35.4.1 with the command:

sudo ./flash.sh p3768-0000+p3767-0000-nvme nvme0n1p1

The process fails very early (~0.5–0.6 seconds), and flashing does not
proceed. It is unclear if the NVMe SSD is being detected correctly.

Observations:

Board enters Force Recovery (APX) mode correctly and is detected via lsusb.

NVMe SSD is properly installed.

Power supply and USB cables are verified.

Issue is reproducible across multiple attempts.

I have attached screenshots of SDK Manager, terminal output, and
board/NVMe setup for reference.

Kindly advise:

Whether Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS is supported for flashing Orin NX with JetPack 6.2.1.

The recommended flashing procedure for Orin NX + NVMe boot.

Any known issues/workarounds for SDK Manager being stuck at 50%.

Thank you for your support.

Hi Vijay,

I have moved your post to the Jetson Orin NX subsection of the forum for better visibility.

Thanks,

Hello @vijayajangam0009,

We have seen similar issues in the past and it usually is related either to the USB connection being unstable or missing libraries on the host computer.

Quick question, is this the first time you flash your Orin NX? Or have you successfully flashed before other Jetpacks?
