I wanna revive a old pc but I don't now if the drivers are compatible with my video card

I have an old computer that has never given me any problems and I wanted to revive it with Linux.
I think it’s a waste to throw it away, so I thought about putting Linux on it because it would be great for basic tasks. it uses the video card GeForce GT 630M and I would like to know if you know of any Linux that has support for the drivers for this card.

I tried several Linuxes on it, such as Big Linux, but it would shut down whenever I tried to install something or open a folder, OpenSUSE Tumbleweed, but it was extremely heavy, and the one that worked best was Manjaro KDE.

In Manjaro KDE, the computer had graphical problems. In a simple WebBrowser game (ShellShockers), the game’s resolution dropped a lot (640p) and it kept crashing.

I believe it was graphical problems and when I tried to install the drivers downloaded from the Nvidia website, I couldn’t. It showed a lot of errors in the terminal.

I appreciate your help.

It’s quite an old card.

If you want to try Ubuntu, searching, “ubuntu nvidia 390 driver”, shows quite a few methods to install, although you may need to install an older Ubuntu version.

I’m not 100% sure, but it seems to me you may have more luck with the open-source nouveau driver.

Thanks a lot! Friends.
