IMX219-200 FOV CSI Camera is not working with Jetson Nano and A205 carrier board

Hi, I’m using Jetson Nano with A205 carrier board and i’m facing issue while running “nvgstcapture-1.0” with IMX219 200 FOV CSI camera, 120 FOV CSI cameras have worked well with “nvgstcapture-1.0”.
This is the output I’m getting while running “nvgstcapture-1.0”

Encoder null, cannot set bitrate!

Please help!
Thanks

hello pvalue,

the error logs means the camera device did not register to system correctly.

please check you have video nodes, i.e. $ ls /dev/video*
if there’s a node, please check Applications Using V4L2 IOCTL Directly for using V4L2 IOCTL to verify basic camera functionality.

Thanks for the Reply,
I have already checked the video nodes using $ ls /dev/video* and I can see the node /dev/video0.
I have also checked the camera using v4l2-ctl --list-devices and it is giving the output vi-output, imx219 33-0010 (platform:54080000.vi:5): /dev/video0
But this command
$ v4l2-ctl --set-fmt-video=width=1920,height=1080,pixelformat=RG10 --stream-mmap --stream-count=1 -d /dev/video0 --stream-to=ov5693.raw is not giving any output, it just stops and doesn’t move.

please dig into kernel messages for the failure, i.e. $ dmesg > klogs.txt

I have attached klogs.txt
klogs.txt (110.0 KB)

there’re several failures… imx219_board_setup: error during i2c read probe (-121).
did you connect only single camera to the target? if yes, please revise device tree accordingly.

and…
here’s syncpt timeout when you’re trying to fetch the stream.

[ 183.283769] fence timeout on [ffffffc016c23000] after 1500ms
[ 183.283835] fence timeout on [ffffffc016c23180] after 1500ms
[ 183.283860] name=[nvhost_sync:16], current value=0 waiting value=1
...

this may due to camera sensor did not output camera frames.
since this is a customize carrier board, please also contact with vendor for further supports.

Yes, for now I have connected single camera but i want to work with 4 IMX219 120 FOV CSI camera and 1 200 FOV CSI camera simultaneously,
imx219_board_setup: error during i2c read probe (-121)
This message was also there with 120 FOV camera but they worked well.

[ 183.283769] fence timeout on [ffffffc016c23000] after 1500ms
[ 183.283835] fence timeout on [ffffffc016c23180] after 1500ms
[ 183.283860] name=[nvhost_sync:16], current value=0 waiting value=1

I doesn’t see this while using 120 FOV camera
Do I need any device tree modification to make this camera compatible?

is it a camera board with 5-cam? could you please share the product page for reference?

A205 carrier board

it’s from Jetson Ecosystem | NVIDIA Developer, you may contact with them to have more details.
