Hello NVIDIA Community,
We are SRM Team Robocon, a student-led robotics team from SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai. As one of the oldest and largest technical clubs at SRM, our team comprises 80+ passionate students from diverse engineering backgrounds, united by a shared enthusiasm for robotics and AI.
Over the years, we’ve made significant strides in the field, competing in prestigious competitions like ABU Robocon—Asia-Pacific’s largest robotics event. Some of our recent achievements include:
- Securing 9th place out of 110+ teams at DD Robocon 2024.
- Winning the Autodesk Fusion Digital Design Award for Best Fusion Fabricator, along with a Rs. 25,000 cash prize.
- Achieving 1st place at BITS Quark Line Follower, 2022, earning Rs. 30,000.
- Participating in and winning numerous hackathons across India, showcasing our expertise in AI and automation.
We are also proud to have been highlighted on Doordarshan News Channel last year as the team with the highest number of female members, reflecting our commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Beyond competitions, our mission extends to education and outreach. We regularly host workshops on robotics, coding, and AI, empowering students and inspiring a new generation of engineers. Additionally, we represent SRM at expos and national events, demonstrating our projects to leaders, researchers, and peers.
As we prepare for another exciting year of innovation, we aim to incorporate advanced AI capabilities into our projects. We believe that Nvidia’s Jetson Series Developer Kit could be a game-changer for our robotics systems. However, as a student team working with limited financial resources, we are seeking sponsorship to make this technology accessible to us.
