Requesting for technical sponsorship support to student funded teams in India

Hi everyone,

I hope you’re all doing great! I’m writing on behalf of Team Veloce, a group of passionate undergraduates from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, where we focus on aeromodelling, mechatronics, and robotics. Since we started in 2015, we’ve been working on exciting projects like microclass planes, drones, and advanced autonomous robots.

A few of our recent accomplishments include:

  • Top 100 global and Top 3 in India at the AIAA DBF 2023-24 in Wichita, USA, where we showcased automated payload mechanisms.
  • Participating in top Indian competitions like E-Yantra and Technoxian, with standout projects from our Mechatronics team like a PID-based line follower robot and advanced control systems using Arduino and ESP32.
  • Smart India Hackathon 2023 - 1st Place (National Institute of Engineering, Mysuru)
  • Airbus flight challenge 2023 - 1st and 3rd place (IIT Madras)
  • GKN Competition 2023 - 1st Place

Right now, we’re looking to step up our game and incorporate advanced AI and robotics capabilities into our systems. That’s where the Jetson development board comes in! We’re super excited about its potential to power our autonomous drones and robotics platforms, but as a student team, we could really use some support to make this happen.

This year’s problem statement requires some control design and logic hopefully with a good amount of CV which your board will be best suited for. We’d be incredibly grateful if NVIDIA could help us out with a Jetson board sponsorship or any kind of discount that might be available. We are completely student funded and hence find it hard to meet our goals without some support. It would mean the world to us and go a long way in helping us develop even more innovative projects.

Feel free to reach out if you’d like to know more about us, our projects, or how we plan to use the Jetson board. We’re happy to share more details and discuss any opportunities!

Thanks a lot for your time and consideration. We’re looking forward to hearing from you!

Best regards,

@dusty_nv and @kayccc is there any way I can contact your team? I was searching for contacts in India but had no luck. Could you give me their details so I can contact them and provide all the proof of work also?

Have you got the contact from our team?

@kayccc, there has been no contact till now. I could give you another correspondance mail ID if required.
