Intel i226 2.5G Ethernet Support on AGX Orin

Hi,

We are planning to use Intel i226-IT 2.5G Ethernet chip on our AGX Orin custom carrier board. Let us know whether AGX Orin supports i226 by default or what extra effort is needed to get i226 working with AGX Orin?

Hi,
By default no driver is enabled for the component. You would need to do

  1. Refer to product design guide to design the custom board
  2. Refer to adaptation guide to modify pinmux and device tree and generate the dtsi/dtb files for the custom board
  3. Check with vendor whether it needs to enable some kernel configs. And refer to kernel section in developer guide to rebuild kernel images
