Dear NV Dev Team,
since monthes, I face the strange problem what without any special reason, I am not possible to get any audio over my HDMI link in my ZOTAC ION-ITX P mainboard which features a NVIDIA ION graphics. The 100% identical setting with older drivers (see below) works absolutely fine.
I am testing using an OpenElec build which comes with the drivers listed in the title - Kernel 3.12.6 + 319.76
output of: aplay -L → http://sprunge.us/GFLP
output of: dmesg → http://sprunge.us/hICe
output of: cat /proc/asound/card0/codec* → http://sprunge.us/Bcdd
output of: amixer controls → http://sprunge.us/CRZR
speaker-test -c2 -r48000 -Dhdmi:CARD=NVidia,DEV=0
no sound at all -I can report that sound is defnitly dead here while it works fine with a GF430 in a different system. Its only ION related.
Kernel 3.12.6 x86_64

If there is any way to support you on this special driver issue (works well in very older drivers) I can support you 24/h by providing an ssh access to my testing HTPC rig.
Im not the only one faceing this problem and its NOT openelec related. It seems to be a very special HDMI issue on ION builds together with newer nvidia drivers.
See this developer thread:
If there is any way to help, please let me know. Thanks and best regards
Kraut
Edit:
Same logs with a working older version
output of: aplay -L → http://sprunge.us/bWBd
output of: dmesg → http://sprunge.us/YNSH
output of: cat /proc/asound/card0/codec* → http://sprunge.us/bPCA
output of: amixer controls → http://sprunge.us/NALc
speaker-test -c2 -r48000 -Dhdmi:CARD=NVidia,DEV=0
works well
