Is SX6025T supports DDR QDR cards&switches ?

I have some Supermicro systems

6028TR-HTFR – ConnectX-3 FDR,

6027TR-HTQRF - ConnectX-3 QDR,

6026TT-iBXF - ConnectX DDR

connected to 24port DDR Flextronics switch.

and I plan to buy SX6025T (FDR10) or SX6036F switch.

These switch models support connection of listed DDR/QDR cards&switches ?

The ConnectX-3 FDR supports the connection to SX6025T with FDR10 speed?

DDR card are no longer apart of the inventory of Mellanox. Hence Mellanox is not testing DDR cards against any switch.

Marlon

Mellanox can’t guarantee that DDR cards will work as expected with the SX6025 switch systems due to the fact that it has not been tested.

Please let me know if this answers your question.

Hi Anton,

Yes your are correct regarding the SX6025T support FDR10 only, while F in SX6025F - means full FDR support.

In your original questions you mention the following:

“I plan to buy SX6025T (FDR10) or SX6036F switch”.

Based on your last comment I see that SX6036F was meant to be SX6025F.

In that case, no testing has been done by Mellanox using DDR cards with the SX6025T or SX6025F switches.

Marlon

Hi Anton,

Both switches will work at FDR, QDR, and DDR speeds. However there has been no testing by Mellanox using DDR cards with the SX6025 switch.

Marlon

Marlon,

thanks for reply.

These two switches are different . SX6025T support FDR10 only, while F in SX6025F - means full FDR support.

Marlon,

What does your answer mean to practice?

Both switch HAVE TO support DDR cards BUT it is not tested by Mellanox? And QDR is supported.

Marlon,

Not exactly. You said about 6025(F or T) only.

What about SX6036F and SX6036T models?
