Is there any way to use PPS signal from RTC module w/o DriveWorks software?

Hello, we are in the process of defining out time synchronization policy. We are also considering using RTC module as a time source. Unfortunately I was not able to find a way to use PPS signal. See similar thread.

I see /dev/nvpps0, but i was not able to use it with pps-tools. Seems NVIDIA uses own drivers that are incompatible with default linux version.

Q:

  1. Is there any way to use /dev/nvpps0 w/o using DriveWorks software?
  2. Is it possible to connect some different PPS source to RS232 port (GPIO/PPS), for example GPS module with PPS?

Software: DriveSw.10.0
Hardware: Nvidia Drive AGX
