Topic Description

Detailed Description

The axis grid on the Isaac sim is generated above 0.01m (1cm) from the origin, not at the origin. It confuses me when modeling a robot articulation.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Isaac Sim 4.2.0
  2. Generate xform at origin
  3. Zoom in to see if origin matches

I was unable to reproduce this issue. Could you please review it and provide detailed steps to replicate it?

Hey, I also have this issue and everyone I know has it: the x/y plane is a view millimetres above the actual 0,0,0. In the screenshot you see Isaac Sim 4.2 but it was like this in 2023, 4.0, 4.1 and 4.5. I do not understand, how this is not the case in your screenshot @VickNV but great to see!

I am using it on Windows 11.

Just flagging i get the same issue in 5.1

Isaac Sim 5.1.0
Windows 11
RTX 3070 - but seeing the same on other cards

To replicate:

  • New scene
  • Male an Xform
  • Make sure Xform is at 0, 0, 0 (which it is when first made)
  • Grid is not aligned
