Hello,
For some reason, laptop screen is named as Unknown display
when I go to the display settings.
When I plug an external screen using the HDMI port, it is not detected at all.
Any idea, on what’s going on ?
Are there some limitations for the MX450 when using Ubuntu ?

I gave up because I had too many issues with that new laptop and I’m going to send it back.
So unfortunately I won’t be able to investigate further.
It’s often the case with brand-new notebooks that the Ubuntu stock kernel is too old to provide the necessary drivers. Installing a more recent kernel then makes it come alive:
