Jetson AGX Developer Kit no display on console

Good day, I am encountering an issue with one of my two Jetson AGX Orin 64GB Developer Kit. It had been running fine displaying on the console over the DP (Display Port) connection, but recently it stopped displaying. I have tried connecting USB-C-to-HDMI and USB-C-to-DP and neither seem to work. When I look at: /var/log/Xorg.0.log I see:

So it looks like it is not detecting the DP connection, but I am not sure why or how to re-enable it. Flashing the device is not really an option as we are in mid-development of a solution we are working on. I can SSH and xRDP to the machine without any issue.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Greg

Sorry for the late response.
Is this still an issue to support? Any result can be shared?

This is still an issue. Any thoughts or suggestion would be appreciated.

Your xorg.conf is probably got overwritten by any kind of reason so that NVIDIA driver is no longer in use.

I don’t know if you keep the old file there. If you have, you could compare the content between your current conf and older one and see if any difference. For example, Xorg should not use “fbdevhw” as driver if I remember correctly.

Hmm interesting. I guess in theory I could take the xorg.conf off my “working” Jetson AGX Orin and try it on the one that is not working. They are configured the same.

Hi Wayne, thanks for your suggestion on the xorg.conf file. It was indeed missing, not sure what got rid of it, however I used a copy of the one from my working Jetson and rebooted and it is now loading properly. Thanks so much for your assistance!
