Jetson AGX Orin - MST Hub Maximum Display Configurations

Hello.

I have a question regarding the Jetson AGX Orin’s support for multiple displays through an MST (Multi-Stream Transport) hub.
According to the Jetson AGX Orin data sheet(Jetson_AGX_Orin_Series_Data_Sheet_DS-10662-001_v1.5.pdf),
the device complies with the DisplayPort 1.4a specification and supports MST.
The data sheet also mentions “2x display heads (pipelines) sharing four surfaces,”
but it’s unclear if there are any additional limitations on the number of displays that can be supported through MST.

I would like to understand the maximum number of displays that can be connected via an MST hub.

Would you please answer following questions:

  1. The maximum number of 1920x1080 @ 60Hz displays that can be connected and used concurrently via an MST hub.
    (DisplayPort 1.4a supports 32.4 Gbps. So, I think that AGX Orin can support about 8 displays(1 display(1920x1080 @ 60Hz) use about 3.2Gbps))

  2. Any specific hardware or software limitations related to the number of displays supported through MST on the Jetson AGX Orin.

Best regards,

The display head is limited to only 2. So not what you are calculating there.
