To summarize all for Jetson Nano Jetpack 4.6.2 version:
Get 64GB pendrive and instal
- Get 1 random pendrive and install Ubuntu 18.04 image
- Enable UEFI option in the laptop and boot into Ubuntu
- Install full Ubuntu on another pendrive (64GB min)
- Run the full Ubuntu in the pendrive, search Nvidia SDK Manager and download it
- Enable universe in the “Software and Updates”
- Install the Nvidia SDK Manager through “sudo apt-get install sdkxxxx.deb”
- Start SDK Manager
- Connect the “Force Recovery” pin to GND
- Use a microUSB cable (with data line) and connect to the host pc (laptop)
Power the Jetson Nano with Power adapter - Choose Jetpack 4.6.2 and go to next step
- Wait for downloading, took me half day to complete it
- Before flashing, choose OEM Configuration to RUNTIME
- After flashing image, the Jetson Nano will boot up, connect to another display and complete the setup, connect to the WIFI same as the host pc(laptop)
- Check the connection information and record the ip address
- On the host pc, enter username, password, ip address
- Wait for flashing (1,2 hours)
- On the Jetson Nano, the boot location is on eMMC, only 16GB which is not enough
- Follow through the Youtube video attached above to format the pendrive, copy the rootf to the pendrive etc.
- change
/boot/extlinux/extlinux.confon the SD card/eMMC, and modify - Reboot and its done
I hope this helps whoever using Jetson Nano in the future for newbie.
All my problem started with “sudo apt-get upgrade” and replaced some older version, it’s fun journey but I do not want to suffer this again. Once again thank for everyone helping me! Probably gonna post again as I expected there are more problem hidden which I not yet face.
