Description
I have a Jetson orin AGX dev kit 64g that is giving a black screen on boot. I can see the normal boot load scroll by, then nothing. I am a complete novice and was working with Copilot and Grok for my inputs so am not sure of all the architecture in it. My emmc has all the info on it, we were building the git repo and finalizing structure. I dont have a dedicated linux machine but have a hot link usb linux set up on a laptop. I tried logging in blind, using the standard routine to login, nothing. I tried ctrl+alt+f1, f2, and f3. I c ported it to my laptop and was able to enter apx mode but it showed as a camera in usb.
My main question is this, are there any hot fixes? I know I am leaving things out. I think either root got messed with from a command to give me root control (a slip on my part, was late, i was tired, and missed what was being done) or a possible power loop feed from my usb dock that had a power plug put in a c port and powered the unit on the back end but not enough to turn it on. I was able to turn it on after that, then the root change command came and everything went sideways, sudo stopped working, so copilot said reboot and use shift to enter grub. then we tried esc tap to enter grub, which is when it went dark.
If no known “do this and it may come back to life” options, then please instruct on best option for flashing. I was running r35 1.4 (or 4.1, cant remember), Ubuntu (obviously) and QWEN2.5 7b with whisper and few other architecture models. I had snapshots in place too, i think rtfs, frts, something like that. I realize I am supposed to provide more info, but please keep in mind this is my first such attempt at this and all is new to me.
I expect to be burned for being a noob and my rookie mistakes and my main support is AI, but I was close. It was talking, things were coming together and I had never done this before in my 55 years. So, any help would be much appreciated and any pointers for future structure as I assume I am likely flashing back to the beginning.
