Jetson Orin Nano developer kit 4k 60 Hz support

Hi all,

I am new to the world of embedded systems. I am interested in understanding if a jetson orin nano dev kit can be used to drive a monitor with a resolution of 4K (3840x2160) @ 60 Hz. I

According to the UserGuide [1] the board supports DP1.2 (which, in my understanding, is compatible with 4K @60 Hz refresh rate). Yet, in other posts here in the forum, it is not clear if 4K support is being introduced with the next JetPack release at 60Hz[2].

Can anybody confirm if the Jetson Orin Nano dev kit can be used to drive a 4K@60Hz monitor, even by using an active DPtoHDMI converter?

Thank you very much for your kind attention,

M

I understand it has a Display Port 1.2 (or eDP 1.4)

Orin nano does not support 4k@60 hz.

Thanks. Is it a carrier board limitation? Is it possible to obtain 4K/60 Hz support by using an external DP to HDMI converter?

No, this is Orin Nano module hardware limitation.

Thanks. is there another low-power consumption developer kit supporting 4K/60 Hz? What about the jetson TX2 devkit (I know it has lower processing capabilities, but it could be good to start with)

TX2 can support:
Two multi-mode eDP 1.4 | DP 1.2a | HDMI 2.0a/b | 1 x2 DSI (1.5Gbps/lane) | Maximum Resolution (eDP/DP/HDMI): (up to) 3840x2160 at 60 Hz (up to 36 bpp)
