Jetson Orin Nano flashing Jetpack 6 failed on SDK Manager

Hello Team,

Description

I am trying to flash Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit 8GB (official dev board) using SDK Manager but it failed after sometime while flashing. I could not able to sort out what’s going wrong here. Please help me out. Also attached the log details below.

Software/Hardware Information

  • Host machine running Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
  • SDK Manager version - 2.1.0.1 1682 x86_64
  • Current Jetpack version installed on Orin Nano - Jetpack 5.1.3
  • Target Jetpack version - Jetpack 6 (rev2)
  • Destination storage device - Nvme

Logs details

Jetson Orin Nano log file:
jetson-orin-logs.txt (85.2 KB)
SDK Manager log zip file:
SDKM_logs_JetPack_6.0_(rev._2)_Linux_for_Jetson_Orin_Nano_modules_2024-06-26_13-50-41.zip (1.1 MB)

I am getting the failed message after retrying the below event again and again on SDK Manager.
Waiting for device to expose ssh...

Also to my knowledge, command like sudo apt-get install nvidia-l4t-jetson-orin-nano-qspi-updater basically upgrade Jetpack version(Only works on SD CARD). I am curious if there any other command for nvme storage ?.

Thanks

Maybe check your firewall setting as it’s a connection issue.

NO.
This tool is only intended for devices running with an SD card, which can be flashed with Etcher, to self update the bootloader if they don’t have an Ubuntu host PC.
We don’t provide the same image for NVMe/USB disks.

Thank you @DaveYYY,

I just disabled the firewall in my host machine using the command
sudo ufw disable

Thank you for sort out the issue and it solved.

Thanks
Vesman Martin
