Jetson Orin Nano Headless Setup Stuck on NVIDIA Splash Screen

Hi everyone,

I’m having trouble getting my Jetson Orin Nano to run properly in a headless environment. Whenever I boot it without a monitor attached, it just shows the large NVIDIA logo on-screen (if I later connect a monitor) and never progresses further. I’ve tried using NoMachine and RealVNC Viewer, but both seem to require a display to be connected at boot. Once the board is powered on headless, there’s no way for me to remote into it or get past the logo.

Has anyone successfully set up the Jetson Orin Nano in a purely headless mode without relying on a physical display at power-on? If so, I’d really appreciate some guidance on the steps or configuration changes needed to make this work.
Thank you!

Hello @spacelabs.eon

Could you please give it a try the steps in What is the best way to control the jetson Orin GUI remotely? - #5 by KevinFFF?

Please, let us know if this works for you!
