Jetson Orin NX 16GB CSI Virtual Channel

Hello

we are migrating a Xavier NX platform to a new design with Orin NX. I found on web some topics related to the MIPI Cameras virtual channels mode.
My design provide the TI DS90UB954 deserializer that virtualize up to 2 channels in one 4 lane mipi connection. On a Xavier NX this works, will this be the same on Orin NX or are there some limitations?

Thanks

You are customized carrier board? Devkit only support 2 lanes.
You may need to add lane_polarity for CSI0-1, you can reference to imx219 device tree for the lane_polarity setting.

Thanks

Hello

yes, we have a customized board. This board was relesead for Xavier NX. Now we are investigating how to adapt this for Orin NX 16G. Some topics are releted to Virtual Channel capability and ìmy doubt regards the capability to use Virtual channels as the TI devices generates 2 virtual streams (from 2 cameras) on 4 lanes mipi interface.
So, the Virtual Channel on Orin NX 16G are completly supported?

You may need to add lane_polarity for CSI0-1, you can reference to imx219 device tree for the lane_polarity setting.

What do you refer to with this sentence? what means lane_polarity?
Thanks

Yes, Orin NX and Xavier NX both support virtual channel.
For the lane_polarity please check the design from the download center.

Thanks
