Jetson Thor AGX QSFP

  1. Hardware: NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin (Thor)
  2. Interface: Integrated QSFP Port (PCIe Device 01:00.0)
  3. Physical Connectivity: Jetson (QSFP) → Fiber Optic Cable → Switch/Media Converter → Copper (RJ45)
  4. Software: Mellanox Software Tools (MST)

We are attempting to reconfigure the network interface on the Jetson AGX Orin (Thor) platform. Our setup requires a fiber optic connection from the Jetson’s QSFP port to a switch, which eventually bridges to a copper-based network.

Although the MST driver set starts successfully and the PCI device is correctly mapped, any attempt to query or modify the device configuration results in a register access failure.

Observed Error:

The command fails with the following error message:

-E- Error when trying to check if NV access registers are supported rc=(524)

In the screenshot you see the steps we do and also the version of our image.

Sorry for the late response.
Is this still an issue to support? Any result can be shared?

Yes we still need help in this case.
