Jetson TX2i HDMI is not working on custom board

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I have a designed a custom carrier card, and my card will be plugged to one backplane.
On Backplane there is HDMI connector, when i am testing Jetson TX2i module with my carrier card in backplane i am not able see anything on display.
I am able to read EDID data of monitor and Mode of monitor.But i am not seeing anything on monitor it is displaying no HDMI cable detected.
Can you please help me in further debugging.

I saw you replied another thread. Do you see the error log with “sanitize_flip_args”?

If so, then it is a hardware design issue on your carrier board.

I am not getting this error in my log i compared my carrier card log and Development kit log they are same but
only issue is i am not getting display.

Ok then I think they are different error.

Are you able to see the hotplug message in your kernel log if you hotplug the cable?

Could you share the result of “lsmod” too?

Are you using rel-28 release or rel-32?

we are using rel 28.2.1.

Sorry that I have no idea at this moment. If hotplug the monitor can trigger new “plug” “unplug” log in dmesg, and edid is read correctly, I think it is hardware issue.

Have you tried other monitor?

i have tried with 3 different monitors, same thing is happened.
Can you please tell me what signal levels are driven on HDMI data and clock lines.
these differential lines are AC coupled or DC coupled please clarify.

I didn’t understand but once the jetson booted completely i am not getting that error i am able to read EDID.
and display configuration. hardware i followed same as OEM design guide but near connector only one extra ESD IC (TPD12S521) from TI i used.

No, I don’t think you ever get the EDID.
Please tell us how you know you can get edid.
