Kernel freeze for 460.80 and 465.31

Using nvidia graphics drivers 460.80 or 465.31 together with kernel 5.12.8 I get a system freeze. There is just a cursor shown in the top left corner of the screen. I cannot switch consoles. I cannot ping the host via network, either. I have to reset the system to reboot.

Using 460.73.01 there is no such problem. Graphics card is a GeForce GTX 1650.

Can anybody reproduce this?

I think this is the same issue as this huge thread over here: 465.24.02 page fault - #48 by shayneehartford. There hasn’t been any resolution or workarounds there, except for downgrading to a working version.
