Laptop with nvidia GForce 930mx can't connect to external monitor

I have an issue with an ASUS X510UR with Intel and Nvidia graphics. I have Ubuntu 22.04 as operative system. I can use the laptop normally with my external monitor, it works perfectly. However, I can’t connect to any other monitor or projector.

xrandr shows “HDM-I disconnected” with any other monitor beside the one I usually use. I tried switching cables, and monitors. My usual monitor works fine with other computers.

I have no idea what the issue could be. I included the Nvidia bug report in the case is of any help.

The HDMI port is connected to the intel igpu, the nvidia gpu doesn’t have any outputs.
dmesg is always spilling EDID block 0 is all zeroes but shows the hdmi port as disconnected. Rather looks like your hdmi port is broken and one monitor only works by chance.
