Low performance

I have a laptop with Geforce 640M video and Intel i5-3317U processor(Acer Aspire M3-581TG).

Nvidia uses driver 331.113 and Intel integrated graphics uses i915. With Nvidia Prime, when I switch to Nvidia card, my performance is a lot worse than it is with Intel.

What might be the cause of this issue?
Are Intel drivers simply better optimized than Nvidia ones?

How is the performance directly after rebooting? If it works fine then, you might have the same problem as me. After suspending my 860M is locked to 33MHz. To be sure, check nvidia-settings for the actual clock speed.

No the issue doesn’t seem to be related to suspending for me.
