Mellanox ConnectX-6 Overheating on Jetson AGX Orin – External Cooling Needed?

Hello,

Setup:

  1. Jetson AGX Orin Developer Kit
  2. Mellanox ConnectX-6 Lx Dual-Port 25GbE

The CX6 is connected to the Jetson AGX via PCIe.
When the Jetson is powered on, it reboots after approximately 3–4 minutes. Upon further inspection, we observed that the CX6 reaches temperatures around 120°C, which appears to trigger the Jetson to reboot.

The CX6 has a passive heatsink attached.
Should it be externally cooled?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
