No grid driver available from nvidia any more

Hello Nvidia,
We are a small business recently bought grid K1 and K2 grid gpus for our office, K2 was more than sufficient for our need. We are very much worried to find nvidia is no longer releasing grid driver. Here is a line from nvidia driver site, "Beginning with Release 375, the NVIDIA drivers no longer support the NVIDIA GRID K2, K1, K520, and K340 products."

If nvidia stops releasing driver for grid GPU, they should provide notice at least 24 months ahead, so people can avoid investing on these products. It shouldn’t be out of blue to bring a decision and cease to release drivers.

I highly discourage from such ill business practice and urge Nvidia to release drivers at least next 24 months.

NVidia should answer and should set official EOS date for GRID K* drivers (R367).

My opinion: Use driver branch R367 for GRID K*. NVidia should support driver branch R367 until 2022?.

Thank you MC for your reply. Nvidia has released new driver for windows 10 in Feb 15 2017, but nothing newer for GRID gpus.

Yes, but drivers were released for branches R375 and R378. I tested that NVidia change version (5.2?) and content of VGX protocol (guest-host vgpu protocol) and this drivers does not attach to R367 branch in host (VGX version 5.0/5.1). GRID 4.2 driver release for guest+host is due end of March 2017 (probably update branch R363 and/or R367 and release new R375 (without GRID K* support)) (https://gridforums.nvidia.com/default/topic/1093/post/4031/#4031).
My opinion: Maybe NVidia will disclosure GRID roadmap/support information to public (https://twitter.com/rhbBSE/status/829388848346124290). There is also one funny thing, R378 driver for linux supports GRID K* again (see “supported products” http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/115031/en-us) and there is also compilation support for KVM host/hypervisor.

Hi Syed,

First of all K1 and K2 cards are EOL and GRID moved into a software platform 1,5 years ago. It is correct that there won’t be support for K1/K2 with the new driver branches but it doesn’t mean that there is no driver for these cards any more. The R367 branch will be supported for the next years (no new features but bugfixes).

So what is the issue?

@mcerveny: I guess this is just a mistake with the latest Linux driver. If you look at the readme it shows the correct information:

GRID K520 is supported in >367.xx drivers releases again (or NVidia lies again).
