i have been developing in my nexus 7 tablet, which works like a charm. now i also wanted to test it out on my Moterola Moto G but i got an extreme frame drop. on later investigation it seems that the glu load is 0 and the cpu at a 100? i was wondering is this one of the restrictions that you set for using VS plugin? ore might something else be the problem?

We don’t have this restriction for using VS plugin. But debugging on Tegra-based devices is guaranteed. other non Tegra-based devices is out of our control. Generally, Nsight Tegra should work if ndk-gdb could work.
