Good morning, we started running some applications on the new server installed with Windows Server 2022 a few months ago. One of them is not displaying the attached error regarding compatibility with OpenGL 3.3 or higher. According to the specifications attached to this email, the NVIDIA A16 card installed in said computer is compatible with OpenGL 4.6.
I would like more information on this error, as it is not possible to use these applications.
Controller version: 560.94
Thanks.
Virtualized or not? Which driver? Where did you download the driver? For sure, A16 supports OpenGL 4.6 but the question would be if the Server OS supports it as well. Why do you run the application on Windows Server instead of Win11 for example if it really requires OGL 4.6
Driver: 560.94-data-center-tesla-desktop-winserver-2022-dch-international.
Controller version: 560.94
Users launch applications installed on a Windows Server 2022 Server using virtualization via UDS enterprise or Remote Desktop.
This is the datacenter driver and doesn’t support WDDM which should be necessary. Please test with the vGPU driver. This use case requires vGPU licensing!!!
According to IA, Windows Server 2022 does support WDDM (Windows Display Driver Model). WDDM is actually a core part of how Windows handles graphics and display. Intel says Windows Server 2022 supports WDDM, as do Windows Server 2019, 2016, and 2012 R2. The current version of WDDM supported by Windows Server 2022 is 2.9 and later, which allows for display optimization across multiple display adapters, Microsoft says.
Where can I download the GPU driver for this A16 model card and licensing prices? Is there a trial period?
Would the vGPU software or driver be compatible with a server running a standard Windows Server operating system and an NVIDIA A16 card?
