Hi,
I’ve a laptop with Nvidia Geforce GTX 1650 Max-Q Design, and I want to use it with CUDA and cudnn.
I install the latest drivers (nvidia-driver-435, which is the latest proprietary driver), so I can install CUDA successfully, but when I reboot, Ubuntu stuck on purple screen (with Ubuntu logo and dots). I’m sure that the problem came from drivers, because when i remove it (using recovery mode), everything works fine again.
So I found multiple solution on internet, I try using nvidia-driver-440 or nvidia-driver-415 and it’s everytime the same (with 415, nvidia-smi doesn’t works, so isn’t the good version)
With version nvidia-driver-435 and 440, nvidia-smi works (I can try using terminal in recovery mode) but I can’t log into Ubuntu.
I also try to add nomodeset and boot, but doesn’t works (The Ubuntu logo doesn’t appear and the boot stuck on full purple screen)
Do you have any idea to solve this ?
Thanks for your help,
Kind regards,
Florian
