I installed NVIDIA driver metapackage from nvidia-driver-525 (proprietary) on Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS (notebook: ThinkPad P16 Gen 1).
Unfortunately, drivers seem to be problematic - they don’t handle multiple monitors.
External monitors work for some time, but then in random moment, one of them “freezes”. To repair it, I have to disconnect HDMI and connect again. It works, but repeating it 10x per day is very frustrating.
Definitely, it is not an external monitor problem.
I have tested three different monitors and problem was repeatable on each of them.
I had to uninstall these drivers and install Nouveau drivers (above problem does not occur here).
Anybody found a solution for such problems?
