Orin NX custom carrier board design compatible with Xavier NV

Hello There,

We are designing a custom carrier board that is compatible with both Xavier NX and Orin NX.

A, We identified that Orin NX will support up to 20V in that we are having few queries,

1. What is the significance of providing 20 V over 5 V? Will there be any change in performance?
   2: In our carrier board design, we have a provision for a 12V supply. Can we provide that 12V supply to SOM? which is controlled by the load switch? Separate load switches will be provided for 5V and 12V inputs.

B. Do we need to check any other compatibility-related things other than the migration guide provided by nvidia?

   NV: There will be no change if power supply capability is same.

2: In our carrier board design, we have a provision for a 12V supply. Can we provide that 12V supply to SOM? which is controlled by the load switch? Separate load switches will be provided for 5V and 12V inputs.
NV:12V is supported by Orin NX. You can remove 5V optional part design in P3768 schematic and implement to your own design.

B. Do we need to check any other compatibility-related things other than the migration guide provided by nvidia?
NV: No others things than that in migration doc.
