Hello. Can you suggest a good stackup for a carrier board? I’m thinking 8 layers should be enough. I’m planning to order from PCBWay.
Thank you in advance
Jetson Orin NX/Nano carrier board design files which includes PCB stackup are available in Jetson Download Center | NVIDIA Developer
Yes, I found. Thank you. Unfortunately PCBway does not have 0.043 on TOP. How do you think 2 OZ will be ok for standard carrier Jetson board.
Main criteria for selecting stackup would be to ensure impedances are been met for impedance controlled traces on those layers. Dielectric height/separation between layers is also important to reduce cross talk. Please check the stackup impedances carefully and consult with your PCB vendor. Usually, signal layers use 0.5oz or maybe 1oz Copper, if needed. 2oz Copper is usually used on Power Planes/Ground Planes. Stackup should also be symmetric to avoid PCB warping.
