Photoshop doesn't recognize Nvidia Texture Tools Plugin

Hello everyone,

I wanted to get into modding for one of my favorite game. For this, I need to edit DDS pictures and since I use Adobe Photoshop (2025) in my everyday life, it was a no brainer to continue with it.
Thus, I immediately installed the Nvidia Texture Tools (v3.2.5) in the Plugin Folder.

However, Photoshop still cannot open any DDS file. Worse, it doesn’t even find the Plugins in the list :

What am I supposed to do from here ? I don’t get what I’m missing here.

Thanks in advance for your answer.

Hi @Vallandriel!

Sounds like the plug-in might have been installed to the wrong version of Photoshop. If you re-run the installer, when you get to this screen:

could you make sure that the Photoshop path listed there is the version of Photoshop you’re using? (Around this time of year, it’s common for the plug-in to wind up in e.g. the Photoshop 2024 folder instead of the Photoshop 2025 folder).

Once you’ve done that, you should see nvtt_export.8bi in the folder listed there. That’s the file Photoshop looks for the DDS plugin; if it’s there but Photoshop still doesn’t show it, please let me know.

Hope this helps!
