When I try to save as .dds file in Photoshop 2021, it crashes Photoshop
When I try to save using the standalone tool it closes the tool on itself.
Why is this happening?

There should be a way to get more information – could you try running the standalone nvtt_export.exe from the command line by opening a Windows Command Prompt, changing to the directory containing nvtt_export.exe, and then running nvtt_export.exe? Hopefully, that should print some info into the command prompt window saying why it was unable to run – if you could then send that info, it would be much appreciated.
