OBS Studio now allows screencapture on Wayland via Pipewire. However, the issue is that Nvidia doesn’t support EGL_NATIVE_RENDERABLE surfaces, so not only can you not use screen capture on OBS, you can’t even use OBS at all without a bunch of envvars but it’s useless anyway without screen capture.
Wayland is clearly becoming the dominant display server protocol on Linux whether we’re ready or not, so Nvidia needs to bring its drivers up to speed
