I have HP Pavilion laptop with Ubuntu 20.04.1 and graphic card Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 Ti. After installing recommended driver (with sudo ubuntu-drivers autoinstall) and forcing my computer to use them (with nvidia prime) I’m getting black screen after boot (it stops before login screen). After opening terminal (with ctrl+alt+f4) and logging in I’m getting an information “failed to open display”.
Without setting nvidia-prime to nvidia profile before boot my computer just doesn’t recognize my GPU (lspci returns nothing).
My kernel version is 5.4.0-58 and recommended driver version is nvidia-driver-460 (but I tried also every different one that ubuntu-drivers listed).
I’m attaching my bug report here. Any help would be much appreciated.
